Running Without Music.

I wish I could tell you all about the 5K I ran without music but the truth is, I got to 200 meters and had to turn on my playlist. Running without music just wasn’t happening for me. Yesterday was 30 degrees and felt like summer. It was also Canadian Thanksgiving so it was so strange to have all the leaves changing colours and running when it looks like fall but it feels like summer. I was HOT and feeling dehydrated and just needed some extra motivation. I looked to my Sex and the City inspired playlist to push me through:

One day I will run without music. I  thought I would be in a great mind frame to do it yesterday but as soon as I got out there, my pace was much slower than usual and I could feel that I was working to run. Maybe running for music just isn’t for me. Or maybe I should just force myself to give it a real shot.

What I am giving a real shot at is weight training. It’s so important to have strong muscles and that’s why on Sunday I did this challenge:

3 Reps of each for time: 
50 Squats
40 Sit Ups
30 Push Ups
20 High Tuck Jumps
10 Burpees

I really pushed myself with this challenge and finished it in 11:02.
