End of Summer Sangria!

I’m beyond upset that summer is coming to an end. (I know summer doesn’t end until September 21st) but when Labour Day comes around we say goodbye to white pants and hello to pumpkin pie and falling leaves. So, I went to the Farmer’s market with one plan in mind: to put as many summer fruits in a bottle as I can and drink it all today. (This probably won’t last very long though!) I present to you:

Siobhan’s End of Summer Sangria!

Ingredients:

1 bottle of Cupcake Vineyards Chardonnay (or 750ml of your favourite sweet wine)
1/4 cup of Brandy
1 cup of Club Soda
2 1/2 cups of Pitted Cherries
1/2 cup of Blueberries
1 Large Peach Thinly Sliced
4 Thin Slices of Orange
3 Thin Slices of Lime
2 Thin Slices of Lemon

Mix together in a pitcher your wine, brandy, pitted cherries, blueberries, orange slices, lime slices, and lemon slices. Chill in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight (I’m bringing this to a party so I only chilled it for about 3 hours… I am very upset over summer leaving, give a girl a break!) Add the club soda and peach slices just before serving and you are ready to cure your goodbye summer blues!

Happy Labour Day Weekend!
