Running On Ice.

I woke up to wind gusts going by my window at 59 km/h with very light snow flurries drifting amongst the wind. I officially call myself a wimp because I am not running in “feels like -8 degrees celcius” weather. Sorry, friends. It’s time for me to get my gym membership back and hit the T-Mill for the next few months. Which, lucky for you means I will probably have more embarrassing stories like the day I almost fell off the T-Mill. Awesome! But that will only last until we get back into the positive degrees and I can hit the pavement again.

I was excited because I got my new nike+ sensor last night and I was ready to wake-up and run. Instead I will just have to throw on my big jacket that makes me feel like I am wrapped up in a blanket and do some holiday shopping. Maybe send out those christmas cards while sipping a mocha latte and watching Elf. Perfect. Don’t get me wrong, I love winter activities. Snowboarding, skating, and snowball fights. But running on ice just freaks me out! I fell like I will fall, hit my head on the ice, and not wake up again. I’m an indoor running pet again this season.

As the American Thanksgiving arrived so did multiple messages on my berry. I woke up reading that my friend was walking across the street and got hit by a car. Why do my blogs sound like I have so many tragic events lately?! I swear I’m still as bubbly as ever! Luckily, she is alive and survived four nights in the trauma ward at the hospital. She is safe at home and on bed rest. I couldn’t be more thankful that everyday she is getting better. Even though I am not in the USA, I celebrated being thankful for friends, family and friends that are so close they might as well be family on the American Thanksgiving.

Maybe next year I will get tickets to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  It just look sooo fun! The floats, the singers, dancers, entertainers, and ginormous cartoon balloons! Ahhhh-may-zing!
