September. When the season changes.

Whenever the seasons change, I always feel that my mind changes with it. After having struggles with my old laptop and it taking 10 minutes to start up (I wish I was exaggerating) I have moved on to my new love.  My MacBook Pro. I’m still working out the fine details on how to take advantage of this beauty but I can promise you some fun things coming your way!

The first: I am 8 DAYS away from the TORONTO ZOO RUN!

You might be asking yourself how I am possibly going to be ready for a 10K when I haven’t filled you in on my training. But while doing cheer and other exercises my feet have been healing amazingly and I ran a solid 7K last week. I was nowhere near my pre-injury pace and I had to take walk breaks but I’m clocking in the miles. I might be a lot slower than before but I’m back at it!

And I definitely owe you a playlist! So, here are the jams I’ve been rocking out to lately:

Titanium- David Guetta feat. Sia
Love On Top- Beyonce
Don’t Hold Your Breath- Nicole Scherzinger
(Drop Dead) Beautiful- Britney Spears feat. Sabi
Suave (Kiss Me)- Nayer feat. Mohombi & Pitbull
Turn Me On- David Guetta & Nicki Minaj
No Me Digas Que No- Enrique Iglesias feat. Wisin & Yandel
Otis- Kanye West & JAY Z
I Made It- Kevin Rudolph, Birdman, Jay Sean, and Lil Wayne
She Ain’t You- Chris Brown
Without You- David Guetta & Usher

Notice all that David Guetta?! Love him! The few songs I have from his new album “Nothing But the Beat” keeps my motivation throughout my runs that use to be “easy” for me. Getting over that mental struggle of knowing that you use to be stronger than you currently are can be difficult. But I’m finding the value in set backs and “Nothing But the Beat” just might be my playlist for my next run!

So, what have I been upto if I’m not clocking running miles? Well, kicking my cheerleading skills into shape for the competitive season:

Have an amazing weekend friends!

How do your goals change as you move from summer to fall?
