I was going to write a fun post yesterday and then I got hit with the worst migraine of life. Seriously. I will spare you the gross details and just say, it lasted 12 hours and I have never slept so long in my life.
So, today I will tell you about my favourite things of the week because I woke up re-freshed and ready to enjoy the long weekend!
Yesterday, my new bff Jennifer over at Peas and Crayons started, maybe the coolest things, I have seen in the blog world in a while. She created a Virtual Blogger Cookbook! Go over and check out some recipes and add your own! You only have two more days to do it and you will find my mussels on recipe number 15!
And this just might be the BEST news I have had all week. Remember 2 months ago when I told you that my little Gus went missing? If not, you can read about it HERE.
Well, last Saturday my neighbour had a Gus sighting in his backyard. And on Wednesday, I heard a meow and my dad tried to tell me it was from the TV but we both went outside in different directions and my dad saw Gus in the backyard. But he ran away, after staring at my dad for quite sometime. From that, we gathered he must have had a traumatic experience and is either a) afraid of people or b) has just adapted to being in the “wild.” So we left out food for Gus near the entrance that he strolls into our backyard at with hopes that he would come back. And he did. He came home 3 times on Thursday but was still confused as to who he was. After bringing Gus food, calling his name, and having him run away, I followed him across two people’s yards just to see him run away again. And last night, he made another appearance. I’m not sure what happened to him over the last two months but he looks so much thinner and his fur is definitely not as pretty as it once was when we would do yoga together:
But at least he keeps coming back! And he gives me that, “I know you from somewhere look.” He may have just lost his mind a little bit but one day he will remember.
Today, I set up camp for him. Seriously. Some wet food, dry, food, toys, and a little bed. I’m trying to get him to be both a domestic and an outdoor cat again. Wish me luck!
And the other even I am thankful for is running 1.5 km pain free and having a pain free cheer practice! I think all my stretching and strengthening has been paying off!
And thank you for all the lovely comments on my new look! I’m glad you love it as much as I do!
