I Learned Burlesque!

I few weeks ago a few of my friends decided we wanted to go back to Flirty Girl Fitness for a class. You might remember me raving about it before. The first time I went there I took my sister for her bachelorette party back in ’09 and did pole dancing. I fell in love:

It was an AMAZING workout and I may have left with bruises on my legs. Worth it? Yes. I couldn’t stop doing it when we left the class. Every pole I saw, I was swinging on:

So naturally, I just wanted more. Today, we went for Burlesque. Think of Xtina. Annnnd that’s what we did. But harder and more fierce. Can you imagine?! It was 2 hours of sweat and full body shaking. I wish I had video for you but I don’t. So, Christina will demonstrate:

Our instructor Melissa-Jane was hilarious and had us laughing the entire. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Flirty Girl Fitness classes are one of my favourite ways to cross-train. I love getting out of my comfort zone and learning new things and feeling incredible during and after my workouts. Flirty manages to give it all to me everytime. I love the comfortable vibe you get from the minute you walk in and start reading their magazines in the lounge. Except if your a boy. These classes aren’t available for you. #NoBoysAllowed

What’s your favourite way to cross-train?!
What workout are you dying to try?
I really, really, REALLY want to tray JUKARI Fit to Fly by Cirque du Soleil and Reebok!
I’ve been wanting to go since it started in Montreal and I JUST learned that it is at Kingwest Fitness in Toronto. Needless to say, I HAVE to go!
